December 2018 Day Meeting

Our last day meeting of 2018

Lovely to see everyone today, with a few new faces and returning members. The meeting was very very relaxed as our lovely crafty lady, Tamsin, had us making Christmas cards and decorations… sequins and glitter everywhere!!!!

Our very last meeting of the year is on Wednesday 19th December, 6-8pm @ The Millennium Centre, it will also be a craft session so again very relaxed but if you haven’t attended a meeting before it is a great way to relax, chat and get to know everyone.

Living with someone who is living with ADHD, affects every part of your life and can be very isolating. We know it can be daunting to come along to a group for the first time so these sessions are great as they are fun and relaxed. There is absolutely no pressure and they give you a complete break from your caring role.

These meetings are relaxed and informal, usually between 5 and 10 people from all walks of life. You don’t need to book, please just turn up. On arrival you will be welcomed by one of the organisers. We understand it can be daunting to come along to a group for the first time and we want to make you feel as comfortable as possible.

Living with someone who is living with ADHD , affects every part of life and can be very isolating. Coming to a support group to share coping strategies and meeting people who are dealing with the same sort of issues as you is supportive and motivating. Come along to meet new friends, share information and have fun!

All meetings are confidential, no judgements are made and no issue is too delicate.

If you have any questions or worries please do not hesitate in contacting us.

September Group Meetings

This month the Healthy Living Team will be coming to speak to us. As parents and carers it is important that we look after ourselves as well, you can’t be strong and look after everyone else if you are unwell and burned out.

Support groups are so important for self care. You can meet others in a similar position, have a break, find information and get support from others who know what your situation is like. Sharing ideas, feelings and concerns can help you feel less isolated. Sometimes friends won’t understand your situation, but a support group will. This is why groups like Clair’s Parents Meeting Parents are so important.

The day meeting will be held on 20th September and the evening meeting on the 26th September. For times and venues please call 07480824868.
