ADHD, Awareness, Fund Raising

Thank you

We would like to thank Morrison’s Boundary Road for letting us bag pack at the weekend. As a small charity we are reliant on being able to regularly raise funds.

The funds enable us to run activities for our families and their children and young people with ADHD

These fundraising days also enable us to get into the community to raise awareness and hopefully reduce some of the stigma surrounding ADHD.

CPMP Youth Club

In my previous blog entry I mentioned that the committee had been out and about last week.

Well I can finally tell you all… we were out looking for a venue for a new service we are organising. We found one that is perfect.

I can now announce that we will be trialing a Youth Club for children and young people with ADHD.

The venue will be the Park Farm Centre Carr Mill (click here for map).

The first session will be Friday 8th February 6.30-8.30pm.

The club is part of our membership so therefore is free to our members children and young people with ADHD and their siblings.

The session will have a small cost of £2.50 for non members but please be aware we will require proof of diagnosis or being on pathway.

Parents and carers will be required to stay on site (tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided).

We are planning various activities for the group and Clair is very excited about planning a tuck shop!

December 2018 Day Meeting

Our last day meeting of 2018

Lovely to see everyone today, with a few new faces and returning members. The meeting was very very relaxed as our lovely crafty lady, Tamsin, had us making Christmas cards and decorations… sequins and glitter everywhere!!!!

Our very last meeting of the year is on Wednesday 19th December, 6-8pm @ The Millennium Centre, it will also be a craft session so again very relaxed but if you haven’t attended a meeting before it is a great way to relax, chat and get to know everyone.

Living with someone who is living with ADHD, affects every part of your life and can be very isolating. We know it can be daunting to come along to a group for the first time so these sessions are great as they are fun and relaxed. There is absolutely no pressure and they give you a complete break from your caring role.
