Laser Quest

One of the nice things about the group is that we take our ADHD children, young people and their siblings out for fun activities. These get togethers have proved to be so valuable, as they get to socialise with others who are just like them. They get to socialise, form friendships and give each other support. They get to fall out and MAKE UP! So they get to learn valuable social skills.

Last Saturday morning we went to our local Laser Quest Centre. We were joined by 16 children for three games. As usual our little tribe did us proud. Yes they were loud but they were really well behaved and everyone joined in.

It also gave our parents and carers a chance to unwind, catch up and have a coffee.

CPMP Youth Club

In my previous blog entry I mentioned that the committee had been out and about last week.

Well I can finally tell you all… we were out looking for a venue for a new service we are organising. We found one that is perfect.

I can now announce that we will be trialing a Youth Club for children and young people with ADHD.

The venue will be the Park Farm Centre Carr Mill (click here for map).

The first session will be Friday 8th February 6.30-8.30pm.

The club is part of our membership so therefore is free to our members children and young people with ADHD and their siblings.

The session will have a small cost of £2.50 for non members but please be aware we will require proof of diagnosis or being on pathway.

Parents and carers will be required to stay on site (tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided).

We are planning various activities for the group and Clair is very excited about planning a tuck shop!

Family Christmas treat

This year the families chose to go to the cinema. We got to treat them all to pizza at Pizza Hut and then onto Lucem House Cinema to watch Elf with a huge bag of popcorn and hot chocolate.

We also had a visit from Santa. All the children and parents received a selection pack… yaaay more chocolate!

We would like to wish all our group, friends and families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you all for your support this year.

We will see you all in January 2019.
