ADHD

April is Autism Awareness Month

Although CPMP is predominantly anADHD Charity. ADHD is a neuro development condition, which can co exist with a number of other neuro developmental conditions such as Autism, Tourette’s, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia.

It is important to us to raise the awareness and acceptance of all neuro developmental conditions.

The 28th March-3 April is World Autism Acceptance week. The National Autistic Society has information on nationwide celebration events, fund raising and challenges to help you show your support.

1 in every 100 people in the UK has an autism diagnosis (around 700,000 people), and there will be many more individuals who are autistic but have gone undiagnosed. Between 20-50% of people with ADHD are also autistic. April is a great time to learn more about autism, help educate others and dispel stereotypes, and celebrate the autistic people in our lives. So “Light it up #REDinstead” or “Wear gold for Autism” this month.
